You’re looking at the new Q6 e-Tron, another SUV from Ingolstadt that’ll sit on the Porsche- and Audi-developed PPE platform. Called Premium Platform Electric in full, it aims to be a one-size-fits-all platform for the slightly less dynamic electric cars.

The new Macan is set to ride on the new PPE platform and so is this, the upcoming Audi Q6 e-Tron GT. We’re expecting to see the full production car in 2022, after Audi boss Markus Duesmann confirmed it in Audi's 2021 annual conference, so it makes sense that the car pictured is buried under heavy camo. However, it’s possible to make out a few key details.
Naturally, the naming structure means it will sit above the upcoming Q4 e-Tron and, like most EVs, it should offer increased cabin space relative to the wheelbase – think Q7 cabin space contained in Q5 length.
The headlights appear to be final, and although the rear lights are certainly prototype, you can make out small air vents around the car. Whether these are real or not remains to be seen; EVs don’t usually require the same cooling as their ICE counterparts.
The charging point is positioned towards the rear of the car – where you’d usually find a fuel cap – and it should support 800-volt 350kW fast charging.
