The Bentayga is the first off-roader from Crewe and the fruits of a joint project between Bentley and group partners Volkswagen and Audi. Some of the hardware is made abroad but, like all Bentleys, the car is assembled in Britain where craftsmen give it added luxury to lift it above its siblings. We’ve yet to drive the Bentley Bentayga, so it’s too early to pronounce a definitive verdict. But we have sat in it, tested the switchgear and marvelled at the sheer luxury on offer inside that vast cabin. From some angles you can tell its Q7 lineage - just - but there’s no denying this SUV has been Bentley-fied. The craftsmanship on offer is first-rate, with an abundance of hide used to create that typical Crewe pamper.
